Terms and conditions of use
Courtesy translation. The Spanish version governs: Faduex operates under Colombian law and the Spanish text is the one that applies to your rights as a data subject. Leer en español.
These terms govern the use of Faduex, an app to organize your invoices and bills and receive due-date reminders. By creating an account or using the service you declare that you have read and accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Faduex.
How we process your personal data is explained in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
1. Who you must be to use the service
- You must be over 18 and have legal capacity to accept these terms.
- The account is personal. You must give truthful information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what happens with your account. If you suspect unauthorized use, change your password and write to us.
- Only one session can be active per account: signing in on another device ends the previous one.
2. What Faduex does and does not do
Faduex gathers your invoices in a list, works out which are due soon or overdue, and sends you reminders before each due date. You can add an invoice by hand, with a photo, or by forwarding the email it arrives in.
- It is not a financial institution. Faduex does not pay your invoices, does not receive money, does not intermediate payments and does not give financial, legal or tax advice.
- Reminders are informational. Paying on time remains your responsibility. A reminder may be delayed or not arrive (for example, if you turn off your phone’s notifications or have no connection).
- Automatic reading can be wrong. When reading an invoice from an email or a photo we may misread the supplier, amount or date. When we are not sure we flag it for you to review. Before paying, confirm the details against your invoice.
3. Email forwarding and third-party documents
- You decide which senders you authorize. We only read the emails from those senders that you forward to your unique Faduex address.
- You are responsible for setting up forwarding with your email provider and for having the right to forward and process the documents you send us (your own invoices and receipts).
- If an invoice arrives password-protected, you provide the password voluntarily and we use it only to open that file.
4. Acceptable use
You may not, nor allow others to:
- use the service for unlawful activities or to deceive other people;
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or bypass security measures;
- upload files containing viruses or malicious code, or abusively overload the service;
- copy, decompile or extract the service by automated means without our written permission.
5. Your content
Your invoices, photos, receipts and notes remain yours. You authorize us to store and process them only to provide the service described in these terms and in the privacy policy.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Faduex running continuously, but we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features; when a change significantly affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email.
7. Price
The service is free today. If we offer paid features in the future, we will tell you the price before you sign up, and you will not be charged anything without your express consent. Purchases made through app stores are also governed by that store’s conditions.
8. Deleting your account and suspension
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. The account is deactivated and we keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind: if you sign in within that period, you can recover it. Once the period ends, your data is deleted.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the security of the service at risk, telling you when possible.
9. Intellectual property
The app, the Faduex brand, its designs and its code belong to their owner. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app under these terms.
10. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, Faduex is not liable for surcharges, late-payment interest, service suspensions or other damages resulting from late payments, misread data that you did not review, reminders that do not arrive, or service interruptions. Nothing above limits the rights that Colombian law grants you as a consumer or any liability that cannot be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version with its effective date and, if the change is important, tell you. If you keep using the service after that date, we understand that you accept the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Disputes that are not resolved directly will be submitted to the competent courts of Colombia, without prejudice to your right to go to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
